“WorldPride is occurring at a crucial time,” the Capital Pride Alliance, the host of the event, wrote on their website. “We encourage everyone in our global community to participate in this historic moment.”

From May 23 to June 8, audiences can enjoy 50 different free choral concerts around the nation’s capital. Groups including Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, D.C. (GMCW) will present diverse performances including premieres of new works.

Sports fans can register to participate in the Capital Cup Sports Festival from May 28 to June 4. Athletes and spectators can celebrate pride through dodgeball, rugby, pickleball, volleyball, bocce, and swimming championships.

Participants have a chance to learn about civil rights activism at the WorldPride Human Rights Conference on June 4 through 6 at JW Marriott. One can register online for three days of inspirational lectures and advocacy workshops. Notable speakers include Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, Icelandic Minister of Industries Hanna Katrín Friðriksson, and model Yasmin Benoit.

The National Trans Visibility March occurs from June 5 to 8, also at JW Marriott. Founded in 2019, the march calls for validation and protection of the transgender community. More information is available on ntvmarch.org.

WorldPride Music Festival takes place on June 6 and 7 at the RFK Festival Grounds. Global superstars Jennifer Lopez, Troye Sivan, Kim Petras, Paris Hilton, RuPaul, and more will headline two days of diverse performances.

WorldPride Parade commences on June 7 at 2 p.m. Participants will travel for 20 blocks spanning from 14th Street and T Street NW to Pennsylvania Avenue and 19th Street NW. The parade will be lined with floats, festive groups, and displays and is open to the public.

WorldPride Street Festival on June 7 and 8 along Pennsylvania Avenue offers two days of free music, artisan vendors, food courts, and beverage gardens. Headlined by Doechii, the festival serves as a family-friendly event with a dedicated kids’ zone, Camp Pride.

On June 8 at 8:30 a.m., WorldPride will hold the International Rally at the Lincoln Memorial followed by March for Freedom to the U.S. Capitol building. The festivities will then ultimately conclude with a global celebration of the Street Festival and Closing Concert.

“Join the fight against hate and be part of ‘the Fabric of Freedom’ with thousands of community members, allies, and activists,” the organizers said.

Every day for the duration of WorldPride, attendees can head to the Welcome Center located on 737 7th Street NW for any and all information. The Welcome Center also features phone charging stations, lounge area, official merchandise, and curated art exhibit for all public to enjoy.
